Wilmer Valderrama is headed to Shondaland in a recurring role during current season of ABC's long-running drama Grey's Anatomy

Wilmer Valderrama has joined the cast of Grey's Anatomy and will appear later this season in a multiple-story arc.

The 36-year-old actor will make his debut in the long-running ABC medical drama in early April, according to an article on Tuesday by Variety.

Valderrama will portray a character named Kyle Diaz, but no further details about his character were divulged.

The 12th season of Grey's Anatomy premiered in September 2015 and ABC announced last week that it has been renewed for a 13th season.

The current season of the medical drama created by Shonda Rhimes has introduced new characters Dr. Nathan Riggs, played by Martin Henderson, and Dr. Penelope Blake, played by Samantha Sloyan.

Valderrama has been busy lately and currently stars in From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series on the newly launched El Rey channel.

The horror series developed by From Dusk Till Dawn director Robert Rodriguez was renewed in October for a third season.

The former That '70s Show star also has been cast in the pilot for the CBS drama Four Stars.

Valderramma also will provide the voice of Prince Charming in the upcoming animated musical comedy Charming.

The film also features the voices of Valderrama's real-life girlfriend Demi Lovato, 23, as well as Avril Lavigne as Snow White and Ashley Tisdale as Cinderella.

Charming is currently in production and is due out in 2017.

Valderrama and Lovato have been dating since 2010.
