And Padma Lakshmi knew how to drum up attention to promote her book as she headed off to a signing in New York City on Wednesday.

The 45-year-old showcased her ample cleavage in a pale pink dress with plunging neckline.

The Top Chef star stepped out of her trendy Soho neighborhood apartment in the revealing form-fitted garb.

She showed off her impeccable curves in the knee-length number, which also highlighted her long, sculpted stems.

Her silky raven tresses fell in loose waves and she wore a smokey matte eye with glossy pink lip for added shimmer.

No doubt it is an exciting time in her life as she released Love, Loss And What We Ate on International Women's Day.

It's described as an intimate story of food and family, which details Padma's life story from an immigrant child to a Hollywood life in front of the camera.

Her book chronicles the fierce devotion of the people who shaped her along the way, from her headstrong mother who broke conservative Indian convention to make a life in New York.

The Emmy nominee has already published two cookbooks but the new release is her first personal account.

Easy Exotic - a compilation of international recipes - was awarded Best First Book at the 1999 Gourmand World Cookbook Awards at Versailles.

Her second cookbook - Tangy, Tart, Hot and Sweet - was released in October 2007.
