Sarah Jessica Parker is a marvel in metallic dress as she’s honoured by the Guild Hall Of East Hampton at their annual event

Sarah Jessica Parker was among the night's honorees at the Guild Hall Of East Hampton: Academy Of The Arts Lifetime Achievement Awards 2016.

The 50-year-old star was certainly shining as she arrived to the event being held at The Rainbow Room in New York City on Tuesday.

Sarah exuded shimmery sophistication in a silver-embroidered frock with gathered details at the hips and matched with a pair of bronze booties.

No one - save for Sarah's famous alter ego Carrie Bradshaw on Sex And The City - would have put those two together with a classic black tuxedo blazer.

Sarah did and was quite of it as she smiled for the cameras, clutching a vintage clasp handbag.

She wore her light brown hair loose with a slight waviness to it, and among the strands gleamed little drop earrings.

Sarah was honored at this year's event for her contributions to the Performing Arts, and artist Eric Fischl presented a trophy to her.

With Sex And The City behind her and no prospect of a third movie sequel to hope for, fans at least have Divorce to look forward to, no pun intended.

Sarah's latest series with HBO is slated to premiere either this summer or fall.
