Trapped in a glass case of emotion! Justin Bieber finds himself stuck in a cube as he kicks off his Purpose World Tour in Seattle

He may be travelling the world while embarking on his latest tour.

But during his first performance Justin Bieber found himself trapped in a glass case of emotion.

The 22-year-old singer kicked off the Purpose World Tour at Key Arena in Seattle, Washington on Wednesday night to much fanfare.

Perhaps the show hit it's emotional high as he found himself trapped behind glass while crooning one of his hit tracks.

No doubt her performed the track Mark My Words while trapped as he took a marker to write the name of the song with a heart while the box was elevated.

The Sorry crooner delighted fans as he performed his hit songs along with several of the tracks from his latest album Purpose which was released last year.

Justin rocked his signature style as he sported a long grey coat over a plaid top, baggy white shirt, ripped jeans and a pair of Adidas Ultra Boost trainers.

The What Do You Mean hitmaker made sure his hair didn't get in his face as he had parts of his blonde locks messily tied back as he moved and grooved on stage. 

He's got quite a busy agenda as he will make a quick stop in his native-Canada for a show in Vancouver on Friday before heading back to the US. 

The huge concert event will have 114 total dates in two legs through North America and Europe.

It will all culminate with two dates in London's The O2 Arena on November 28 and 29.

Bieber made sure he mad the most of his time before tour as he spent a lot of it with friends after marking his 22nd birthday with a star-studded party in LA on February 27.

His 'non-exclusive' girlfriend Hailey Baldwin, 19, was there along with his rumored Fall fling Kourtney Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Ashley Benson, Joe Jonas, Diddy and The Game.

He spent his actual birthday - March 1 - at Bear mountain Ski Resort at Big Bear Lake in California, where he was spotted snowboarding and drinking beer.
