Peterborough couple abused a 13-month-old girl while they were BABYSITTING

Security guard Michael Chase, 52, and his wife Lara, 46, a Peterborough pharmacist, pictured together on their wedding day, took pictures as they abused the child in her bedroom. A neighbour told MailOnline today that he was previously a swimming pool attendant at the local primary school in the 1980s, when she was an 11-year-old. Chase pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual assault and possession of indecent and extreme images last year. But his wife denied the offences and during a trial at Peterborough Crown Court claimed they are now separated after marrying in June 2014 and wanted her husband 'hung, drawn and quartered.' But a jury dismissed her claims and found her guilty of two counts of sexual assault and the distribution of indecent images. They will both be sentenced tomorrow. Detective Constable Lloyd Metselaar from Cambridgeshire Police said: 'I am pleased that the family of the victim in this case have received justice. The appalling acts committed together by both Mr and Mrs Chase on such a young child demonstrate the most serious breach of trust'.
