Pawn Stars' Chumlee arrested after police find meth and a gun while searching his home in sexual assault investigation

Pawn Stars' Chumlee has been arrested for possession of a gun and drugs in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The reality star, real name Austin Russell, was taken into police custody after law enforcement found a weapon and methamphetamines in his home, according to TMZ.

The 33-year-old's residence was searched by police who had a warrant in connection with a sexual assault case when marijuana, meth, and a gun were discovered.

Chumlee was arrested on Wednesday afternoon for the possession charges.

The sexual assault case is still under investigation by police.  

Two years ago Chumlee lost a whopping 75 pounds due to changing his diet.

Russell revealed to the Review Journal at the time that he had sworn off junk food and now sticks to a well-balanced diet.

'My dad died from pancreatic cancer at 54, two weeks before the show [Pawn Stars] aired,' he said.

'I’m making sure I’m eating my vegetables and staying away from the red meat.'

Russell has followed in the footsteps of fellow Pawn Star personality, Corey 'Big Hoss' Harrison, who also became concerned about the impact his size was having on his health.

But instead of slimming naturally, Harrison had lap-Band gastric band fitted. The surgery saw him lose more than 100lbs in just five months.

He and Chumlee are one of the four main characters on Pawn Stars, which has been running since 2009 and chronicles the daily activities at the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop - a family business opened in 1989.
