Moments after he was sitting alone quietly sipping from a beer glass, CCTV footage showed Lewis throwing chairs, tables and bottles.

He broke the leg from a bar stool before hurling it at a flat screen TV.

The raging reveller then repeatedly throws a bottle at the expensive television - cracking it into pieces.

After knocking over the screen Lewis continues to fling furniture around the pub, breaking windows and lights as he was alone in the bar.

A court heard drunk Lewis broke three flat screen TVs, door frames and bottles of alcohol in the 15-minute rampage.

Prosecutor Rachel Knight said: 'He caused damage to just about everything that was not nailed down. An incredible amount of damage was caused.

'The bar manager said it was completely out of the blue. He went outside to call 999 and the rampage continued. He said he didn't know what the defendant was going to do next.'

Pub manager Nazmul Sumon said: 'It is so sad because we didn't have any argument at all.

'Apparently he had gone crazy and he just came in and started smashing up the the place.

'We are almost back to normal but it hit me hard as I had to pay for the damage on my credit card.

'We are not 100 per cent now as some things are still damaged.'

Lewis, of Treorchy, South Wales said 'everything was a blur' after he lost his job driving buses in Coventry.

He had downed five or six pints in the early evening session before flying into his rage.

Three days later while on bail, Lewis attacked a local JobCentre after his benefits didn't arrive on time.

He pulled out a hammer to shatter windows in Treorchy Job Centre causing £12,000 damage - again throwing around desks and chairs.

Defence barrister Steven Thomas said: 'He is totally devastated and ashamed of himself and deeply regrets what he did.

'He accepts what he did was a very immature way of dealing with the matter.. This was a cry for help.'

Lewis, of Treorchy, was jailed for 18 months after admitting criminal damage and was jailed for 18 months at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court.

Judge Christopher Llewellyn-Jones QC: 'You said that you were depressed because of a shortage of money so it is ironic that you were in a pub spending money at that time.'
