Jenna Dewan keeps things casual in ripped jeans and shades as she enjoys a stroll in the sunshine

She loves showing off her dancer's body on the red carpet.

But Jenna Dewan is just as at home in comfy casuals, as she showed on Friday when she was spotted strolling to a pal's house in Santa Monica in an effortlessly cool ensemble.

The 35-year-old teamed ripped denims with shades for her sunny walk, as she enjoyed some downtime away from the promo trail for her new hit show Supergirl.

Jenna highlighted her long legs in her high-waisted jeans with the flared pair ripped at the knee.

She added a simple white tee, and layered up in a long-line grey jacket. 

A pair of white flip flops and shades finished off the spring look, while the actress tied her dark locks back into a simple up do.

Jenna is making the most of some time off after shooting then promoting her new role as Lucy Lane in Supergirl.

Jenna started out her career as a professional back-up dancer, working for the likes of Janet Jackson.

She has since made a smooth transition into the acting world, and appeared in shows such as American Horror Story and Witches of East End before landing her current role.

The talented star is also a doting mum to her daughter Everly, who was born in May 2013 to Jenna and her actor husband Channing Tatum. 

Jenna met Channing Tatum when they starred together in 2006 dance movie Step Up. 

They started dating after finishing work on the film, and got engaged in September 2008, before marrying in Malibu in July 2009.

Her husband is currently starring in the all-star Hollywood comedy from the Coen Brothers, Hail Caesar!
