Selena Gomez hangs out with her idol Celine Dion backstage before the superstar singer's Las Vegas show
She made only the briefest appearance in a pre-recorded video at Saturday's Kids' Choice Awards in Los Angeles.
And that's because Selena Gomez was hanging out with her friend Celine Dion before the superstar's performance at the Colosseum in Caesars Palace, Las Vegas.
It turns out the 23-year-old is a huge fan of the Canadian singer - and she shared their backstage meet and greet plus photos of herself and three pals at the show on Snapchat.
She's a big fan: Selena Gomez posed with her pal Celine Dion before the superstar's performance at the Colosseum in Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, on Saturday night.
She turned up beautifully dressed in a low-cut, pink chffon column dress with spaghetti string sleeves that showed off her decolletage plus matching high-heeled shoes.
Selena's long brunette hair cascaded down her back as she and Celine posed with their hands around each other's waists.
Celine looked equally chic in a plum jumpsuit with a gold leather belt clasped around her slender waist and matching gold strappy sandals.
The 47-year-old wore her long blonde hair styled in soft waves.
Because they love her: The 23-year-old took to Snapchat to share photos of herself and three pals all wearing their fangirl Celine T-shirts at the show
Selena changed out of her gorgeous gown before the show began and posed with her three gal pals all wearing their fan-girl Celine T-shirts.
'When you come to Vegas,' she captioned the photo on Snapchat.
In other videos, Selena sang along to Celine's hits, and even got a little emotional during 1996 track Because You Loved Me, according to People.com.
Waiting for the show to start: The excited star posted this picture, captioned, 'How cool do we look???'
Some distance away: It looked like Selena was up in the balcony away from the action at the gig, which was Celine's last performance in her Vegas residency until May 17

On Sunday, the superstar took to Instagram to pay tribute to her fans all around the world for their support after her beloved husband, René Angelil, died of throat cancer in January, aged 73.
Posting a snap of herself preparing for her performance backstage, she wrote: 'Thanks to my fans and to the amazing Colosseum public, that night after night gave me the energy to go on and make a show that René would be proud of.'
