Teen spirit! Will Smith's daughter Willow shows off her septum ring while shopping with a friend in NYC

She recently stunned in couture gowns for her cover photo shoot.

But Willow Smith opted for comfort as she stepped out with a friend for lunch and shopping in New York City on Sunday. The 15-year-old star went street chic in a grey hoodie, pearl necklace and high top sneakers.

Also on display was her silver septum ring.

She was spotted waiting for a car to pick her up outside Fanelli's Cafe with a loosely wrapped black scarf around her neck.

The daughter of A-listers Will Smith and Jada Pinkett wore a ruffled mini skirt with her tights to add a feminine touch.

Clearly not ones to oppose piercings, the Whip My Hair hitmaker sported a hoop through her septum - an extremely edgy addition to her cool look.

Wrestle down some stylish sneakers this spring like Willow

Willow Smith shops in NYC like a pro in a casual leggings and hoodie outfit but it;s Puma's new boxing inspired Eskiva trainers that elevate her entire look.

The sports luxe look remains one of fashion's leading stories for 2016, and with the release of Creed - the film which sees former World Heavyweight champion Rocky Balboa serve as a trainer and mentor in January - boxing looks have officially entered the style ring.

They're high fashion but also comfortable so that's all the reason for us to get them. Head over to Shopbop and snap them up now. We'll be wearing ours with skinny jeans and slouchy knitwear now but in the spring and summer just imagine these with a neoprene mini and silk tank.
