'I've always wanted to do some sort of drive show in the afternoon, 4pm to 6pm sort of thing, but obviously that takes a big commitment if you are going to do it properly,' he told the newspaper.

'I'd like to find someone that I could bounce off and do that with so radio is something I'd love to pursue.'

No stranger to a life behind the mic, Shane regularly commentates for Channel Nine during the cricket season, and has been heard on numerous commercial stations since leaving the jungle.

Also speaking about other goals as he looks towards the future, Shane suggested a new book could be in the pipeline, 16 years after the release of his first autobiography.

His first book, Shane Warne: My Autobiography, discussed the 'colourful narrative account of the various Ashes series in which he has been involved' as well as Shane's 'fascination with gambling, and about the conflict between his public persona and private life'.

Promising to divulge unknown stories and more personal information, the father-of-three said he won't be holding anything back should a book offer come his way.

The prospect of a career switch for the spin king comes after good mate Brendan Fevola was crowned the 2016 winner of I'm A Celebrity... on Sunday night and split his $100,000 prize between the cricketers now-defunct foundation and runner up Paul Harragon's chosen charity.

'I know I've won the $100,000, but with the Shane Warne Foundation he's able to donate money to other charities, so I'm going to give half, $50,000, to the Mark Hughes Foundation, because he's my best mate,' Brendan said.

Despite controversy surrounding the charity, the former AFL player stuck up for his friend, saying: 'I've got the Shane Warne Foundation. He's been going nine, 10 years now, and raised hell of a lot of money for underprivileged kids.'

'Shane's charity wraps up at the end of the month but if the money was to be won by myself that money will go to a worthy cause before then,' he added.

Following an investigation into the charity, it was found only 16 cents from every dollar went towards helping sick children and an announcement soon followed stating The Shane Warne Foundation would cease operations.

However Shane promises refocus his efforts and will do charity 'in a different way'.
