Broadway musical Hamilton performs for Barack Obama at the White House

The smash hit hip-hop musical Hamilton took its talents to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue to perform at the White House for the Obamas on Monday. Through rap and hip-hop, the show tells the life story of the U.S.'s first treasury secretary Alexander Hamilton, with every role played by a person of color. Seven years after star and creator Lin-Manuel Miranda first brought the first incarnation of Hamilton to the White House, the cast returned to show the president and first lady how far its come. The cast performed the opening number 'Alexander Hamilton', the same some - now perfected - that Lin-Manuel performed back in 2009, and the show's third song 'My Shot'. Later, Lin-Manuel and the president stepped into the Rose Garden for a free style rap.

A murder-suicide has left a teenager dead and the teen?s mother and a bystander injured in the city of Elberton, Saturday evening.

Police were called to the scene on Reese Street at 6:45pm Saturday for a shooting in progress where they found two people dead and two others injured.

The shooter, 49-year-old Raphael Diazdeleon died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The daughter of Diazdeleon?s girlfriend, 17-year-old Alyric Fouch, was shot and killed.

Chief Mark Welsh of the Elberton Police says the incident started due to an argument about Diazdeleon?s drinking.

Rhonda Cureton, Diazdeleon?s girlfriend and Fouch?s mother, was shot in the neck trying to get into a car with a bystander who stopped to help. The bystander, Norman Grimes, was also shot during the incident.

Both Cureton and Grimes were taken to the hospital for their injuries and have since been released.

Police in Georgia say Raphael Diaz de Leon, 49, shot himself in the head after killing his girlfriend Rhonda Cureton's daughter, Alyric Fouch, and injuring the woman and an elderly bystander.
