May the fans be with you! Star Wars actor Oscar Isaac is bombarded with admirers as he attends St Patrick's Day celebrations

He has set pulses racing in his string of high profile movies, and it seems Oscar Isaac never has an off-day when it comes to his dazzling looks.

The smoldering Star Wars: The Force Awakens actor was met by a sea of admirers as he arrived to join the lively celebrations for St Patrick's Day on Sunday.

Isaac, 37, who plays Poe Dameron in the iconic movie, looked dapper in top to toe black, happily posed for pictures as he joined the crowds in London's Trafalgar Square.

The handsome Guatemalan American actor rocked an off-duty look as he joined crowds in central London this weekend at the celebrations, although St Patrick's Day is officially on March 17.

The star, who is blonde beauty Elvira Lind after he went public with her at the Golden Globes in LA in January, opted for an incognito black get-up in London on Sunday.

But there was no mistaking the film hunk with his lustrous locks falling freely around his face in natural curls.

Oscar bundled up against the winter cold in a black jacket and trousers and walking shoes.

He wore a navy blue jacket underneath, and added a touch of class with a blue velvet scarf. 

He went for the rough and ragged look sporting stubble on his chin as he stepped out.

Earlier in the day Oscar took to the stage to speak at Letter's Live.

He was the latest star in a line-up of top names including Benedict Cumberbatch and Jude Law to take part in the event, a series of live performances for charity where celebrities read from letters of note. 

He looked dapper in his casual denim shirt which he wore under a blue cardigan as he performed on the night.

Meanwhile Oscar has recently revealed he was hesitant about accepting a role in Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens.

In an interview with GQ, the 37-year-old recalled how director JJ Abrams pitched the character of Poe Dameron to him, having seen a number of his films.

'JJ basically told me it was an intense, heroic, dramatic character and he hadn't seen me do that,' he said.

'I didn't know if I could make it interesting. I didn't know why me and not anybody else,' he revealed, adding that he only accepted the part after flying home from their Paris meeting and thinking it over for a few days.
