'Interest from Arsenal? It's true,' Santos told Radio Kiss. 'After the game against Palermo, compliments arrived from Real Madrid as well.'

'Only compliments, nothing more. But it's pleasing to receive expressions of respect from one of the most prestigious clubs in the world.

Santos insisted Jorginho's focus remains with Napoli while he is keen to break into Antonio Conte's Italy squad ahead of next summer's Euros in France.

The former Verona star was born in Brazil but has dual citizenship and also an Italian passport having moved to the country at a very young age.

'For the future, we'll wait for the end of the season,' said Santos. 'Jorginho wants to win the Scudetto with Napoli, he's enthusiastic about these last nine finals. I want to reiterate that his priority is Napoli.

'Italy call up? I know Antonio Conte has his hierarchy. We'll see if he can find a way in, I don't know what position he holds in the CT's head right now.

'He's available for the Euros and he's obviously hoping for it.'
