'I'm going to do something nobody’s ever done before': Wiz Khalifa discusses his marijuana empire as he claims that taking the drug does not affect him anymore

He's never been one to follow the crowds and prides himself on his individuality.

And Wiz Khalifa, 28, is planning on making history as he branches out into the marijuana business, claiming that he wants to do something entirely unique.

The star - who has invented his own strain of the drug named Khalifa Kush - has been shamelessly promoting his new product on social media, but claims that he didn't initially plan to start a business.

Speaking to GQ Style he admitted: 'It was never really a goal of mine to get into the business, it developed over the past two or three years and became much more serious. My goal was literally just to get a weed card.

'But then I started figuring out what you can do, and it just started making sense. That’s when I started building my business around it.'

He added: 'Now we’re at a place where I feel we’re going to be able to do something nobody’s ever done before.'

Showing off his impressive inkings, the star donned a pink satin shorts suit in one of the snaps as he opened up about the drug.

The star claimed that marijuana does not influence him anymore, and confirmed that he could function at a normal level after taking the drug.

He explained: 'You train yourself to be alright. Weed’s been helping me out for a lot of years, so when you see somebody who is functioning – I’m the perfect example of that.'

However, Wiz - real name Cameron Thomaz - found himself in trouble as a result of talking about the drug, during a highly public mix-up on Twitter.

The feud began when Kanye West announced he changed the name of his upcoming album to Waves, which Wiz took umbrage to and later tweeted 'hit this KK and become yourself' which Kanye took to be a reference to his wife Kim Kardashian.

However, the See You Again hitmaker was merely referring to his Khalifa Kush line, but became embroiled in a bitter feud over the misunderstanding, which has since been resolved.

However, whilst Wiz has experienced the downside of social media, he explained that he is grateful to be living in the digital age as it has helped him reach out to his followers.

'My fanbase is always going to be with the internet, so I just try to find new ways to keep those people entertained,' he said.

'As a fan myself, that’s what I look for. I know people need content, they just need stuff to look at. I keep that in the front of my mind; that I always have to supply that.'
