He sent Twitter into meltdown with his very racy sex scenes in the BBC's Sunday night drama The Night Manager.

And now the DailyMail.com can reveal that Tom Hiddleston is proving just as much a sensation in Vietnam, as he is seen for the first time since THOSE steamy scenes did all but break the internet.

The actor - who is hotly tipped to be the next James Bond - is in the Southern Asian country filming a new blockbuster movie. And in his downtime he has been living the life of an offduty 007.

But while the 35-year-old laps up the attention, his Oscar-winning Kong: Skull Island co-star Brie Larson is said to be hiding away, only venturing out wearing a hoodie.

Tom and Brie have both been staying in separate villas at the Bond-style five-star Emeralda Nimh Binh resort while filming of the highly-anticipated new Kong movie takes place nearby. 

And despite Brie’s incredible recent success it’s Tom, a hit in the UK TV series The Night Manager and now a favourite to replace 48-year-old Daniel Craig as the world’s most famous spy, that film fans have been flocking to get selfies with at the hotel.

An insider at Tom’s Vietnamese hotel said: 'Tom is acting and looking very suave and dashing.

'He is charming everyone, staff and guests, just like James Bond.

'Ever since the Bond comments came out it’s like he has been acting like Bond round the clock.

'Some of the staff have asked him if he’s going to be the next Bond and he just winks at them. Everyone has been completely bowled over by him.

'He’s really enjoying the attention he has been getting and he’s always happy to pose for selfies with fans no matter that he’s working 12 hours and more a day on the new movie.

'The staff love him, especially at the spa where he has been getting some relaxing treatments.

'He’s also been hitting the gym and playing snooker with the crew.'

The insider added: 'His behaviour has been in stark contrast to Brie who has been very, very reserved.

'Since she came back from the Oscars in Los Angeles she has hardly come out of her villa, except to appear on set.

'It’s as if she is trying not to be recognised. At breakfast she will also just sit by herself.

'It’s not the ‘happy go lucky’ Brie that people have gotten familiar with.

'In fact, winning the best actress Oscar seems to have changed her.

'Tom is completely the opposite. He is enjoying his fame but Brie doesn’t seem to be.'

Tom recently said in an interview he was a 'huge fan' of the Bond franchise, telling how the cast and crew went to see the latest 007 movie, Spectre.

'We all went to see Spectre when we were shooting Skull Island in Hawaii. I simply love the theme tune, the tropes and the mythology. 

'I love the whole thing. If it ever came knocking, it would be an extraordinary opportunity,' he said.

The actors are also having to travel there by boat and some fans have taken pics of the cast and crew headed to the site by river.

Filming has already taken place in Hawaii and Australia’s Gold Coast.

Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts, it is scheduled to be released next year.

Filming in Vietnam ends on March 17.
