The No Country for Old Men favourite appeared relaxed as he recently returned from a vacation in Costa Rica with his fiancee Kathryn Boyd.

He enjoyed a few watersports and some fun in the sun with his beautiful 30-year-old assistant turned partner.

They also indulged in some serious posing on the Oscar nominee's Instagram page, though the most touching image showed them posing at sundown.

Brolin jokingly captioned the image: 'Evening sunlight #severeangst #nothingisgoingright #hellonearth #blindtosmiles #horriblemoments.'

Josh and Kathryn - who will be his third wife - made for the picture-perfect pair as they pulled each other close at the premiere of his latest film Hail, Caesar! in Los Angeles last month.

Set during 1950s Golden Age of Hollywood, Hail, Caesar! also stars Ralph Fiennes and Jonah Hill and focuses on Hollywood fixer Eddie Mannix (Brolin), who has the difficult task of keeping the film studio's stars in line and covering up scandals.

Mannix is forced to come up with a $100,000 ransom in order to retrieve the studio's biggest star Baird Whitlock (Clooney).

The studio is trying to work on its biggest picture of the year - Hail, Caesar! - when they receive a ransom note informing them their leading man has been kidnapped.

Josh and Kathryn became engaged in March last year, just under a year and a half after his divorce from second wife and American actress Diane Lane was officiated.
