She's followed in the footsteps of Justin Bieber and dyed her naturally brunette tresses platinum blonde.

But Paris Jackson looked worlds apart from the once squeaky clean popstar as she was pictured tucking into some tasty treats at Sprinkles Cupcakes in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, on Tuesday.

The middle child of the late Michael Jackson continued to style out her spiked pixie crop as she headed out with two male friends - one of which she was pictured cosying up to.

Paris, 17, looked every inch the rock chick as she styled her statement hairdo with a black band vest top, featuring slashed sides, and a pair of ripped boyfriend jeans.

She extended the edgy look to her footwear and tied on a pair of red leather Dr. Martens which she left partially undone.

The teenager kept her accessories to a minimum, decorating her ears with some spiked studs and her wrists with delicate mismatched bracelets.

Although the nature of the pair's relationship was unclear, there was no denying the fact they share a close bond.

He behaved like a true gentleman as he was seen opening the door for her as the trio left the dessert cafe.

Paris and her male friend were sartorially in sync as he favoured a similar style to the star.

He was dressed in a pair of camo-print cargo shorts, a T-shirt by Loser Machine Company - a brand popular among skaters - and some slip-on Vans trainers.

Paris and her pal looked to be thoroughly enjoying their tasty treats and the table conversation as their smiles rarely disappeared from their faces.

The teenager is currently gearing up for her first milestone birthday - she will turn 18 in just under two weeks.
