She may be embracing the role of a homemaker.

But Geri Horner chose to showcase her sartorial sass when she stepped out in a decidedly swish and chic monochrome ensemble in London, on Wednesday.

Heading out for a spot of shopping near her home, the 43-year-old singer made an understated yet stylish fashion statement in a pair of thigh-high boots and a wraparound overcoat.

Geri - who is happily throwing herself into domestic bliss since her marriage to Red Bull Racing's Christian Horner in 2015 - channelled an understated yet effortlessly chic look.

And clearly expecting a cold snap in the air, the former Spice Girls star kept the wind at bay with a short-sleeved wraparound overcoat.

Thanks to the jacket's belted design, the mother-of-one was able to highlight her trim and toned waistline in a subtle manner.

Geri wore a simple long-sleeved black jumper under her coat which she teamed with a black knitted skirt, which featured a white geometric pattern on the hemline.

Keeping to her chic and stylish theme, the Wannabe singer wore a pair of thigh-high platform-heeled boots.

She accessorised her look in an equally spartan yet stylish manner, donning a pair of Ray Ban aviators, a collection of rings, while she also carried a Paul Smith handbag.

Wearing her hair scraped back off of her face in a tight bun, Geri wore a minimal pallet of make-up which allowed her naturally striking features to shine through.

And while she wasn't shopping for the home for once, the star is clearly delighted with married life - as she opened up about her skills as a domestic goddess in a recent interview with Daily Mail's Event magazine

Talking about her marriage to the 42-year-old Red Bull Racing Team Principal, she explained their roles, saying: ‘I do cook for him, I do like to see that he’s happy.

‘When I go to the Formula 1 races, I’m not about all the glamour. I’ve been there and done that. I never thought I’d meet the man who I knew I would be with always. I can be myself with him, I can breathe out. I don’t ever want to get divorced.’

Geri – who has a nine-year-old daughter, Bluebell, with former boyfriend, screenwriter Sacha Gervasi – insisted she was not betraying her feminist principles.

‘I believe in equality but I’m proud to be a wife and this is me saying I believe in the union of marriage and everything that goes with it,’ she said. ‘I want to share his name. I want me and Christian and Bluebell to have the same name, to be our family.’
