Things seemed to have been heating up on screen with TOWIE co-star Peter Wicks.

Which is why it may seem surprising that former Celebrity Big Brother Megan McKenna declares herself single in her latest magazine interview as she puts ex-flame Scotty T firmly behind her.

Selected to smoulder for collector magazine, The Girls Of ZOO this month, Megan says she 'couldn't care less' about the Geordie Shore star's brazen female antics, especially since she 'doesn't want a boyfriend right now'.

Asked about her fling with Geordie Shore's Scotty in the 2016 CBB house, Megan told the magazine: 'We're just friends and we both knew the deal from day one.

'We got in heated situations on CBB and I could have slept with him, but I didn't. He's back in Geordie Shore whereas I don't want a boyfriend right now. We'll always flirt, but never anything more.'

And even though she remained schtum on her own recent dates with Pete, she added about Scotty's womanising ways: 'I couldn't care less if he gets with someone else! I don't hate him. I think he's a lovely boy.'

A representative for Megan McKenna later confirmed that the star 'is now dating Pete,' after giving her comments to ZOO in early February.

The fast-paced TOWIE romance also seemed to confuse Megan's ex Scotty when he branded the new relationship 'weird'.

Speaking to The Mirror on Tuesday, Scotty seemed to throw shade at Megan, saying: 'I haven't seen her in a while but it's just weird. I know she's always wanted to be on the telly but that was really quick!

'Next thing I know, she's dating Pete from TOWIE. Well, I hope they're getting on great. I'm not jealous. I'm onto bigger and better things.

'I'm a one-man mission, me. I'm working so much at the moment. I'm trying to do as much as I can off the back of celebrity Big Brother. I've got Geordie Shore, Dream Boys, a new radio show and a world tour. But no, Megan is a nice girl really. She's a harmless nutcase.'

With her latest smouldering shoot, it's little wonder that Pete is already chasing the gorgeous brunette, days after she made her debut on the ITVBe reality show.

The former Ex On The Beach star strips to black underwear and suspenders as she poses up a storm for the magazine, which ceased publication at the end of 2015, in a one-off special.

Commenting on the shoot, Megan said: 'I love doing this, because I like my body. Natural is pretty.

'For years I'd wanted a boob job but I've realised that, actually, I like them small. Look at the Victoria's Secret models – they don't have fake boobs and they're gorgeous.'

Megan is sure to shake things up in Essex, after reportedly being asked back to be a 'permanent castmember.'

She certainly ruffled some feathers with her expletive outbursts on Channel 5's CBB but as she explains, it was an extreme.

On her extreme mood swings, Megan said: 'I don't go around screaming at people every day of the week. I'm a confident, bubbly girl who speaks my mind…

'But should sometimes think first! Yes, I have my outbursts but I'm not nasty. And I only lose my temper for the right reasons.'
