The Geordie Shore girls have always been incredibly close.

So it comes as little surprise that Marnie Simpson has followed in her MTV co-star Charlotte Crosby's footsteps by posting a completely nude selfie on social media, shocking fans with the explicit snap.

The 24-year-old brunette retained a small element of modesty by superimposing a red love heart across her lower half.

Marnie went topless, ensuring her chest was covered by her arms as she took the very racy mirror snap, which she shared on Snapchat.

The party-loving Newcastle native is no stranger to a nude selfie, previously delighting her male followers with a selfie featuring two hearts over her assets.

The reality star certainly hasn't been shy on social media of late, uploading a plethora of busty bikini selfies as the new series of Geordie Shore gets underway.

Her nude snap was reminiscent of Charlotte's infamous bath snap, which showed her naked lower body, her modesty covered by a tiny heart emoji.

Marnie recently dished the dirt about her former fiancé Ricky Rayment, who she got engaged to last year after just five months of dating.

The starlet is convinced she's learnt her lesson and won't jump straight into a relationship next time.

She told BANG Showbiz: 'I won't jump into anything too quickly. I'll always make sure that I take things slow. If you have something that is really serious, don't be so public about it. If it's serious and personal not everyone needs to know."

Despite having a number of potential suitors, Marnie is still sensitive about the former TOWIE star and his new girlfriend Nancy May, of Ex On The Beach fame.

She said: 'Everyone is f***ing each other these days. I'm getting lost. They are all fame hungry and desperate. It's annoying.'
