What a match! The Flash and Supergirl are seen on-screen together for the first time in crossover episode teaser 

She has laser vision and can fly, and he can move at superhero speeds. 

Supergirl and The Flash - played by Melissa Benoist and Grant Gustin respectively - are seen face to face for the first time in a teaser for the much-anticipated crossover episode on Thursday.

The sneak peek of the season finale, which airs later this month, sees the superheros teaming up as allys on the small screen.

Little is given away in the blink-and-you'll-miss-it ten second trailer, which features some impressive graphics bringing together his electric bolt and her logo. 

Grant, 26, arrives in masked character, before a purposeful-looking Melissa, 27, lands without a hair of her perfectly blown-out wavy tresses out of place. 

In the episode, titled World's Finest, which finished filming in late February, the characters will unite to face off the Silver Banshee (Italia Ricci) and Livewire (Brit Morgan).

Eagle-eyed fans will have noted that the two characters actually live in different universes - but The Flash has the ability to travel to various dimensions. 

He accidentally arrives in Supergirl's universe and in exchange for his assistance, she helps him back to the Arrowverse. 

He might be glad to, after Melissa revealed last Sunday at a cast Q&A that she fell victim to a mystery farting prankster on the set.

The star told PaleyFest television festival in Los Angeles that she kept hearing the noise during filming, but it was coming from a 'different spot every day.'

It turned out to be a high-spirited member of the crew with a remote control joke-device, rather than a flatulent fiend. 

Although Supergirl and The Arrow are broadcast on different networks, they share writers and executive producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg. 

The television series premiered last October to nearly 17 million viewers and has won a People's Choice and a Critic's Choice award. 

The crossover episode airs on CBS on March 28.
