Yesterday, I saw the most unbelievable, horrific sight of my life. I went into a well known supermarket that has stores in every state. I was in the produce aisle and in 2 large cardboard bins, I saw the most freaky unbelievable pumpkins that one could ever imagine in all different colors, shapes and sizes…and you talk about anomalies…this was truly mind bogging, like something out of a horror magizine. I couldn't believe it and neither could 3 guys standing there just staring in shock. I told them it has to be a product from nuke radiation. Unfortunately, I didn't have a camera and I don't possess a cellphone so I couldn't get a picture. Anyway the price was $4.98 each. The product was advertised as pumpkins from all over the world…but upon close examination none of the different pumpkins had a label on them indicating anything or even what countries. I suspect they are all from the USA. Maybe the same region or from all over the country, I don't know. On the bin there was a marking from some company, distributor or farm located in Southern Illinois. But you had to see it to believe it- each was different and some had different growths out of them. And I can just imagine what all our food is going to look like in another month or year down the road. Truly horrific… If anyone else seen it in their stores, please post a photo if possible…

Update, I went to the same store yesterday and 2 completely full bins of Pumpkins were there, but this time there was a label on each pumpkin noting they were raised on a farm in southern IL. and said the seeds were from all over the world on these freaky pumpkins.
My question: Are these GMOs or seeds caused from radiation? I have traveled in many countries in the world and never had seen this before.
Does anyone know? And why are they showing up now if they are naturally occurring from all over the world?

I don't see many adverse effects on the flora & fauna, yet. It seems like there still are quite a few birds, herons, eagles, insects, chipmunks, foxes, etc. on the U.S. Mid-Atlantic East coast. I hear of no problems in the Atlantic, in terms of sea creatures.

But, I know an otherwise healthy young woman who came down with Multiple Sclerosis shortly after biking & being drenched in the post-Fuku. 2011 rain and not washing it off right away. And when we've had a downpour or the worst of the air with the Fuku./Jet stream fallout locked overhead, it has been noticeable in the air–most of all in spring of 2011 and fall of 2012…

It sounds like (uncensored) citizens in Japan and the Pacific West Coast have noticed the most effects, as you might expect. I wonder if effects are getting to China or Russia??…

I'm glad U.S. Navy sailors are seeking legal redress for their bad exposure injuries!!~ "Hydrogen explosion," my foot!!~

Just the contrast between the scary tales for animals and fish on the West Coast USA VS. the lack of unusual reports for the east coast USA is very tell-tale. The Pacific coast should be cleaner, safer, & less industrial, generally. :/

Follow-up Report for 2/2015: I'm still not noticing obvious effects here in the East Mid-Atlantic, USA. I live very close to the coast–so, I'm really far East, USA.

We have tons to coastline and I invariably see many happy-looking seagulls, eagles, herons, loons, ducks, etc. in the local parks. (and this is not when I'm looking for them either) I have heard that owl populations are down here, but they also attribute that to people & traffic accidents.

The squirrels, chipmunks, foxes, and song birds still seem pretty fat and sassy…The people seem to be a cross-section of health & not-so-healthy.

There are no dead-looking sea creatures appearing on the coast either.
We still need to do a lot more to protect native fisheries & ecosystem though.

        –East Coast report, for now!!

p.s. I'm so disappointed to hear about the troubles on the West Coast. But, at least celebrities seem to fare well & just in time for Oscars!-?

I'm not really having any health issues either. Most people seem OK on the surface…??

I hear bad things from some people who live on the West Coast!…
That's a shame. Maybe they can keep working around it? We ALL must do that!!… :(

My commentary here is out of desperation in a way, & just to report the truth to the many concerned & intelligent individuals monitoring this site. Some of you may have seen my photographs on the Radioactive Chat, & I have been doing an independent research project here on the Pacific coast in Costa Rica. All emotion & heartbreak aside, the entire ecosystem is soon to be totally devastated. Considering this was one of the cleanest & most pristine natural environments on the planet, we were in position to be a definitive canary in the cage. Everything is melted, malformed, mutated & dying. Even our cats are missing large patches of fur & lethargic. Tiny mangrove crabs that lived in our house have now also bubbled up & died in the same manner as the beach crabs. The genetics of the plants & how they grow is changing before our eyes. There are many sharks present recently, & also abandoned boats washing up. Hundreds of species lived on our small beach alone, & now there are only hermit crabs desperately trying to survive by taking the shells of the dead snails. They are changing colors now as well (red, blue, orange) & they rest propped up, instead of on the sand, because they are so hot. The ocean is bath water temperature, & now the water from our faucets is warm after rain. Now dying dragonflies, butterflies, & praying mantis' are showing up on our patio with lesions, holes, malformities & discolorations. We are also becoming ill in strange ways & honestly, we may melt…

AWe, I just read your note above and I can attest to having heard of big problems occurring in Central America last Oct. before your post. I believe it was Costa Rico and that area which were having big problems with agriculture too, so I think this not only a beachside problem but also an inland problem. Thanks for your statements about the wildlife and etc.
Duff above: Anyone with any sense in their head would check out the air currents and see that there is a definite current drifting back from Florida moving toward central America. Could this be radiation? No, it couldn't be! I know it's just pesticides arriving via air from home owners that are spraying for dandelions in their lawns in FL…lol(sarc.)on the last one.

We really do not have much weather here in Southern CA, Orange County, about 6 miles from Huntington Beach. However, last weekend and this we have had on and off rain. On the news was shown a rainbow with lightning exploding near the end of it. This a.m. the skies got real dark here and ominous rolls of thunder were in the distance. (We have only heard thunder here maybe three times in the past 26 years.) Last night there was a huge thunder clap with very bright lightning.(The ground even shook.)
Wondering if Fukushima radiation has anything to do with ANY of this?

Radiation causes ionization of the atmosphere. Krypton-85 causes severe weather events.

In addition, HAARP creates lightning which in turn causes rain. California is in a severe drought, so it would make sense that they are trying to bring rain to the area.

Harvard Medical School – Thyroid cancer a hazard from radioactive iodine emitted by {Fukushima} Japan’s failing nuclear power plants

Patrick J. Skerrett, Executive Editor, Harvard Health

One of the most abundant substances in the cloud of radioactive steam released by a failing nuclear power plant is iodine-131—a radioactive form of the element, iodine, that is found throughout nature. Iodine-131 poses a special health risk because of its cancer-causing effect on the thyroid gland.

The small, butterfly-shaped thyroid sits just below the voice box. From this perch, it controls how fast every cell in the body changes food into energy. The gland’s main product, thyroid hormone, governs the function of the digestive tract, brain, heart, nerves, muscles, bones, skin, and more.

Iodine is a key ingredient that goes into making thyroid hormone. We get this element from ocean-caught or ocean-farmed fish and shellfish, milk, cheese, yogurt, eggs, and fruits and vegetables grown in iodine-rich soil.

The human body is surprisingly good at absorbing iodine and storing it in the thyroid gland. That’s

wow, it sounds like you are hanging in there well, for now! Are many CA coastal residents starting to catch on–by virtue of their daily observations?? (i.e. less fish, flora & fauna at the beach??)…And those sea lion, anchovy, and sea urchin deaths setting new all-time record?? :(

I saw a program where Anthony Bourdain was feasting on Japanese seafood (and I do mean, Feasting!!), but they did caption it as happening just weeks BEFORE the 3/11/11 disaster!! (But, they didn't spell out that the seafood is no longer so safe.) Before I saw that caption, I thought it was a current program and it really shocked me!!.. sigh, times are changing!…

It amazes me how such intelligent people seem utterly unaware? I went to dinner with a bunch of Ivy League grads who offered me sake (which I learned was authentically from Japan!!)…They even got second helpings of this sake!..I was thinking–what the heck??
I tried to warn them, politely, of my concerns…to no avail!.. It did not register!-?

They got wiped out here during the height of the 20th century Industrial Age in the U.S.A. BUT, they have come back against the odds!! :)

alasanon, thank you for commenting. You might say that we are "hanging on" here near the beach in Orange County, Southern CA. Personally, I believe it is because of FAITH and DIET. We take A LOT of supplements including a 12 mg. iodine capsule daily. (Swanson Vitamins) If you could see us, you would call us "pill junkies"! Sometimes, we just fast and drink liquids, like today. Fukushima has made it more difficult to survive whether folks believe it's here or not. At the ages of 85 and 67, it is more difficult to do this.
Anthony Bordain? I thought that he went to Japan AFTER 3~11~11. It's also weird how so many people develop strange health issues.. I just learned that a seemingly very healthy young man acquired Diabetes Type 1 in the past couple of years (post-Fukushima) in his late 20s and it does not run in his family. hmmm?…

    • You know, alasanon, in the Summer of 2013, I had an accident on my scooter (in the rain, in Austin; dumb to ride in the rain but I had no choice.) It was a pretty bad accident and I injured both of my knees and was in bed for a few weeks (and I mean, in bed, constantly.) What we didn't know at the time was that my left lung was completely collapsed. And, for some reason, I developed this horrible metallic taste in my mouth (for a good month.) Soon after this, a small blip on my thyroid turned into a honker of a tumor, and I had to have my thyroid removed about eight months later.
It turned out a good thing (in a way) because we would never have found the collapsed lung had I not gone to the follow-up appt following that surgery. I remember asking the doctor if they had monkeys jumping on my chest during the procedure.
April fool's day (yep), the surgeon called me, repeatedly (around seven in the morning!) I called him back when I was awake and he said, "get down to the e.r., NOW. Your lung is collapsed!" I ended up in the hospital for three days while they reinflated it. Since that time, my heart feels like it's doing flip-flops. It feels like it's in the wrong place (to the left of where it belongs) and I am thinking I need to have a chest x-ray, as much as I despise the idea.
Now, what happened before I had this accident? A few months, prior, the WIPP blew. And, of course, we're all down-wind from Fukushima. Could be either or both. But it's…

4 days ago my brother, who used to be a nuclear mp, is at the store in vado, nm, and talking to some people in a California van.
He says something about radiation trying to get first hand info and the fellow says "no, we arent from california, we rented the van in texas"
Another fellow there that is one of rhe prospectors out here pops out a Geiger counter.
The cars on each side of the cali van had no reading.
The van from California, rented in texas, gave off radiation.
The other fellow in the California van comes out of the store and his friend says they are driving an irradiated van.
They do the geiger again on all the cars and show him.
The 2 fellows in the rented California van are going back to the el paso airport to get another vehicle, getting radiated the whole way…..
Didn't know where to put that, but thought it was relevant. There is no concern about toxic waste trucking all over the country and I would check any vehicles I was going to rent.
