His fans went wild after he posted a sentimental snap of him and ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez over the weekend.

And it seems the brunette singer was just as taken aback by the image as Justin Bieber's followers.

Selena joined in the barrage of comments posted underneath the image of her and her Baby hitmaker former beau kissing on holiday back in 2011.

Taking to the site to let her thoughts on the sweet picture be known, the singer wrote: 'Perfect.'

The Instagram, captioned 'Feels' by 22-year-old Justin on Saturday, has garnered a staggering 2.7million likes.

It showed the former couple on the beach and wearing swimwear as they move towards each other for a smooch smack on the lips.

The snap shows a much younger, much scrawnier Justin, minus much of his recent tattoos and muscle mass.

It seems Justin is having a hard time really moving on from what he once described as 'a love that never really dies.'

The two celebrities dated from late 2010 to mid-2014 before going their separate ways as the What Do You Mean singer began to embrace a new bad boy image.

He's currently in the midst of his Purpose tour but took his mind of his ex by hitting the LA club scene on Saturday night.

The Biebs fans seemed to share his nostalgia for his relationship with Selena, with the pic garnering well over 1.2 million likes within an hour of posting.

In December Justin posted two separate throwbacks of the pair together and was also seen that month serenading her with the Motown tune My Girl on a piano at a LA hotel bar.

Several of his recent hits, Where Are U Now, Sorry and What Do You Mean? are reportedly about his lost love, while some of her Revival songs - including Same Old Love - supposedly reciprocate.

Selena has admitted publicly that she got her heart broken when their romance ended.

'To me it was: I’m 18, I have a boyfriend, we look cute together, we like that,' she told W Magazine's March 2016 issue.

'Then I got my heart broken and I cared. Because people had no idea what was going on, but everywhere it was a million different things,' she explained. 'I was kind of in a corner, banging my head against the wall. I didn’t know where to go.'
