Footage from the arrest of Paris terrorist attacker Salah Abdeslam shows the moment he is shot in the leg as he tries to flee police - and dropping a mysterious note as he is taken down. Abdeslam was seized in Belgium on Friday in the Brussels neighbourhood of Molenbeek, following a four-month manhunt for the 'world's most wanted terrorist'. The footage from Friday's raid, which has not been seen until today, shows Abdeslam, dressed in a white hoodie, seizing an opportunity to escape and he starts running down the street. However, armed police instantly open fire, and the terror suspect is hit in the leg by at least one bullet, and police arrest him. Another clip from his arrest shows Abdeslam dropping a mysterious piece of paper, which falls out of his trousers as he is taken away by police.

While there business owner Mr Morgan received a message from Stanwell School in Penarth which said: 'James Morgan was absent from AM registration. Mr Morgan thought it would be funny to reply with a picture of James stood in front of Dubai's luxurious Burj Al'arab hotel (right) - much to the hilarity of his son and all of his school friends. It is not the first time Mr Morgan has sent back a frivolous reply to the school's automated messaging system. In previous text message replies to the school, Mr Morgan's responses have included blaming hippos for James being late in and not wanting James to 'sh** his pants' in the classroom for why he was off ill.

A wild herd of elephants has been causing havoc in the Bardhaman and Bankura districts in West Bengal, India, where it has killed four villagers and injured two others. Prakash Boyra, 40, died after one of the elephants threw him into the air with its trunk and then trampled him. Images filmed by fellow villages show the man being flung into the air like a rag doll by the huge animal, who slams him back onto the floor as people look on horrified and helpless.

Papaw Kenny Harmon - a retired union iron worker - finally got to sit down and eat with all SIX of his grandchildren for Sunday dinner in his Oklahoma town. The 'sad grandpa' prompted an outpouring of emotion after his granddaughter Kelsey Harmon posted a snap of him eating a burger by his lonesome. Accompanying the grim-faced photo of Kenny, she wrote: 'Dinner with papaw tonight... He made 12 burgers for all six grandkids and I'm the only one who showed. love him [sic].' Kenny reveals the reason the other four grandkids didn't show up, wasn't teenage angst or a family row but their forgetful father. 'My son Ryan just plain forgot,' explains Kenny. After pictures of the disgusting food were posted on Facebook and quickly went viral, Sodexo, one of the world's largest catering firms, supply more than 80 Army, Navy and RAF sites in the UK, Cyprus and the Falklands. Sodexo said: 'We are aware of the recent complaints which have appeared on social media over the last week. Photographer Seph Lawless is officially banned from Disney World because he dared take photos of the abandoned Disney River Country water park in Florida. The only other Disney park to close, Discovery Island, is also in decay, according to Lawless who only managed to get close enough to take a few shots of the exterior. The parks both sit on Bay Lake and are just 300 feet away from each other. Both were popular destination spots for families and photos of the parks in their heyday show children laughing and smiling as they splash around the various wade pools and rides.

The shocking photos show an emaciated woman (right) forced to sit in chains in a room built behind her family home in East Java, Indonesia. She is forced to eat, sleep and defecate in this room because she is mentally-ill. Families often put mentally-ill patients in 'faith healing centres'. At one centre in Brebes, a man was pictured in shackles (inset left), and forced to sit for hours a day in squalor. There are just 48 mental hospitals in Indonesia, a country of 250 million.

The intimate series of photos - including left-right top row kissing on the street floor, at a party and on the subway and left-right bottom row in hoodies, on the street and on a plane - were taken across the world including in his hometown San Francisco. Racing driver Stephen Bond was taking part in the Goodwood Members Meeting near Chichester, West Sussex, yesterday when he was hit and his vehicle somersaulted through the air. His car was clipped by another motorist during the first race of the day - but somehow he ended up walking away from the horrific incident with just a broken collar bone. The other driver, Richard Wilson, was uninjured. Mr Bond's car, which was entered in the race for Grand Prix vehicles from the period of 1954 to 1960, went 15ft in the air and landed 50ft away in a spectators' tunnel.

Brad Holmes, 24, from Southampton, told his girlfriend Jenny Davies, 22, he was helping a female friend to fix her bed (top left) and then staying over. Jenny refused to let him leave and restrained him physically (top right and bottom left) and began to slap him (bottom right). She then realised it was a prank which Brad later posted to Facebook. Commenters wrote it would be 'domestic abuse' if Brad restrained her in the same manner. Referring to the clip, Jenny said: ''I do restrain him and I do go crazy but it wasn't done nastily.'

The 302ft (92m) long Airlander 10 (pictured) - part plane, part airship - was floated in a First World War hangar in Bedfordshire. Photographers struggled to capture the whole length of the aircraft, which is around 50ft (15m) longer than the biggest passenger jets, ahead of its inaugural flight next month. Stuart Schouw, 47, was doing the 5 capes challenge off South Africa and was kayaking with his team in residential seal colony Cape Seal when a mother seal launched herself at his boat after he got too close to her offspring. Stuart said: 'It was a very surreal experience which all happened very quickly.' Seals are highly intelligent animals but can be vicious when approached too closely, especially when their young are near. They have been known to bite and attack humans.

Mummy blogger Constance Hall, 32, from Perth, Western Australia, recently shared a photo of herself feeding her twins with her feet. Other mothers have since shared amusing multitasking snaps of their own. Many of them were also seen feeding their babies with their feet and toes while others chose to prop bottles up with teddy bears and nappy bags. One woman purchased hands-free bottles for her triplets and another utilised the help of her two-year-old to help out with feeding time.

The extraordinary mammal (pictured) was captured at Kaziranga National Park in Assam, India, by amateur wildlife photographer Sanjeev Chadha. The 49-year-old was hoping to snap a pair of colourful great hornbill birds but then the buffalo lumbered into shot. Mr Chadha said: 'I felt amazed and confounded to see a living buffalo with such huge horns, as I've never seen anything like it in my life.'
