The 27-year-old pop star, who recently took part in Channel 4's The Jump, has been dating the actress since 2009.

'I feel like the happiest man in the world,' he told Hello! magazine as he announced his forthcoming nuptials.

The Bolton-raised musician opened up about the moment he went down on one knee for his carefully orchestrated proposal, which took three months to plan.

'There was a trail of rose petals leading to the TV where I'd set up a montage of all our pictures from the day we met until now,' he said.

'I was crying my eyes out at this point. Then at the end it said, 'Here's to the next chapter, turn around', and when she turned around I was down on one knee.

'I literally could not get my words out, I was so overcome with emotion,' Parker said of the moment when he popped the question.

The smooth romantic also revealed that a song written especially for them by a friend was playing in the background during the proposal.

Although they are yet to set a date, the couple plan to invite the Beckhams and former label mate Justin Bieber.

'I love David, Victoria and the kids,' Parker said.

The Wanted formed a bond with the famous family after performing at Romeo's 10th birthday party in Los Angeles in 2012.

Pop singer Pixie Lott, one of Hardwick's best friends, was present on the night the couple first met.

'I'm dying to tell her we're engaged, she'll be so happy!' the blonde beauty added.

The actress, best known for her role as a schoolgirl in the film adaptation of Harry Potter And The Prisoner of Azkaban, was recently seen in The Interceptor.

The Wanted were formed in 2009, with Parker, Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Nathan Sykes and Strictly Come Dancing winner Jay McGuiness.

The band released their self-titled debut album in 2010 and went on to enjoy several hits including UK chart-topping singles All Time Low and Glad You Came.

In 2013, they starred in their own reality show for the E! network called The Wanted Life.

Produced by Ryan Seacrest - the US producer behind TV's Keeping Up With The Kardashians - and set in the Hollywood Hills, The Wanted Life followed the band as they made their third studio album titled Word Of Mouth.

In 2014, The Wanted announced they were taking some time apart so that each member could pursue personal endeavours.

'I'd love the boys to be ushers,' Parker revealed. He joked McGuiness could even help choreograph the couple's first dance at the wedding.

'He was always the best dancer in the band,' Parker said.
