But managing to cut a low key figure as she stepped out in New York on Monday, Ashley Graham was both casual and coordinated.

Opting for an all black ensemble, the 28-year-old was effortlessly stylish as she journeyed through the streets of Soho.

With her brunette hair styled in a side parting, Ashley wore a leather jacket with a pair of distressed jeans and pointed ankle boots. 

Clutching onto her smartphone, the Lincoln raised beauty accessorised with a large scarf, quilted handbag and gold hoop earrings. 

Graham's outing came after she shared a picture on Instagram to encourage her social media fans to follow their dreams.

The caption read: 'Dreams do come true! I'm featured in five magazines this month!! Make sure to grab your copies #beautybeyondsize'.

Meanwhile, Ashley recently insisted that the term 'plus-size' is 'totally outdated' during a panel discussion at SXSW.

Appearing on Sunday at the festival in Austin, Texas for an interactive talk called Acceptance Revolution: Fashion’s New Body, Graham said that she doesn't want to bear a label.

'I think the word "plus-sized" is totally outdated. It shouldn't be about labels', she asserted, according to the Austin American-Statesman.

While Ashley was quick to recognize the role the label has played in her success, she added: 'I don't want to be called a label, I want to be called a model.'

Graham continued: 'As a body activist, I want to tell women to not be totally subjected to the beauty standards around you.'
