'Here's looking at you, Stig!' Hollywood star Rachel Griffiths appears to channel Top Gear's mystery driver at F1 Grand Prix with her black and white ensemble

She recently announced her return to Australia, having found success in popular stateside TV series Brothers & Sisters and Six Feet Under.

And Rachel Griffiths looked in happy spirits as she posed at the Australian Grand Prix in her home city of Melbourne on Sunday - and seemed to take fashion inspiration from a TV motoring icon.

She was dressed in a stylish black-and-white ensemble which, rather appropriately, resembled the racing gear of mystery Top Gear stunt driver, The Stig.

The Muriel's Wedding star, 47, opted for racetrack chic in a pair of slinky white jeans and black, open-toed high heels.

She also wore a white jumper, which featured black details on the neckline and sleeves, while displaying several items of jewellery.

Meanwhile, the Golden Globe-winning actress styled her light brown hair loosely and proudly wore her Formula 1 pass around her neck.

Rachel also posed for a photo with her son Banjo Patrick Taylor, 12, and several other youngsters.

The mother-of-three put on a glamourous display, while her eldest child was styled in a pinstripe suit and matching trousers.

The group went for smart casual, each rounding off their sharp looks with trainers and caps.

Meanwhile, Rachel previously told Daily Mail Australia about her return Down Under with husband Andrew Taylor and their three children.

The couple, who married in Melbourne on New Year's Eve 2002, have three kids together - Banjo, Adelaide Rose, 10, and Clementine Grace, six.

'We just really missed our families, my husband and I,' she explained of their decision to leave the United States.

'I guess it's the chance to give our children the life that we had, which was knowing our grandparents and having a really close relationship with our cousins.

'If you are overseas you are denying what I feel is the best aspect of my childhood that I remember and that's the same for my husband too.'
