Late M*A*S*H* star Wayne Rogers' estate sued by ex-lover for $3.4m in unpaid child support for 'their' 31-year-old lovechild 

The estate of the late M*A*S*H* star Wayne Rogers is being sued by his ex-lover for unpaid child support.

Melinda Naud said the actor, who died in December, owed her $3.4million for taking care of their now-31-year-old secret lovechild.

According to TMZ, 61-year-old Naud filed a creditors claim this week, as follow up to a civil suit she filed in 2013.

She claimed that she gave birth to their son Luigi Calabrese in 1985, and that Rogers - who played Trapper John on smash hit TV series - begged her to keep him a secret.

She said he promised her a $500,000 trust, a life insurance policy worth $1m, college expenses and child support - but never delivered.

Rogers passed away on December 31 due to complications from pneumonia, aged 82.

He had two children with first wife Mitzi McWhorter, to whom he was married from 1960 to 1983; he married his second wife Amy Hirsh in 1988, who survived him.

He departed M*A*S*H* after just three seasons due to a contractual dispute, although his character was still remembered just as fondly by fans of the show when it finished after 11 seasons.

He spent his late life as a money manager and investor and was a regular panelist on the Fox News stock investment show Cashin' In. 

At the time of the first lawsuit it was reported Rogers had 'pretended his son - who was born with a serious heart defect - didn't exist, and kept him a secret from everyone, including his second wife.

According to Courthouse News Naud - herself an actress who had played The Fonz's girlfriend on Happy Days - claimed Rogers had 'abandoned Luigi after he was diagnosed with endocarditis,

She said he helped pay the bills for an initial life-saving surgery but 'abruptly cut off all communication' when he found out Luigi needed a second surgery and lifetime care.

'Rogers viewed his son as damaged goods, and a financial liability, not only personally but professionally, due to his medical condition,' the lawsuit stated.
