They were famously estranged for many years following a series of fallings out and a court hearing.

But Courtney Love and Frances Bean Cobain were all smiles as they made a rare public appearance together following the end of their estrangement, at a Women In Creativity event.

Clearly enjoying their time together as mother and daughter once more, the 51-year-old Hole singer and her only daughter, 23, were all smiles as they cosied up at the event at St Martins Lane, London, on Tuesday evening.

An evening with Mom: Clearly enjoying their time together as mother and daughter once more, the 51-year-old Hole singer and her only daughter, 23, were all smiles as they cosied up at the event at St Martins Lane

And while the pair went for many a year, as far back as 2009, without having much contact due to a fractious relationship - the duo were the personification of a loving family at the Liberatum event.

Over in London to take part in the series of special one-off events, Courtney was the guest of honour at the evening, as she was interviewed by British GQ editor Dylan Jones.

And although she may be no stranger to the stage, having fronted the grunge-punk band Hole, it appeared that Courtney could rely on some moral support from her daughter, Frances.

All smiles: And while the pair went for many a year, as far back as 2009, without having much contact due to a fractious relationship - the duo were the personification of a loving family at the Liberatum event

Opting for a colour block ensemble, the artist wore a simple white semi-sheer top with black skin-tight leggings, which feature geometric-print mesh cutouts, which she teamed with block-heeled boots

Stood side by side at the event, the rocker and her daughter looked closer than ever, and were very happy as they made an exceptionally rare public appearance together.

And obviously anticipating the cold snap she rounded her look off with a pair of dark tights and stiletto heels.

The Doll Parts singer ensured she kept to her low-key with her accessories, and chose to only wear a silver pendant necklace and earrings, while she also carried a small black clutch.

She wore her long blonde locks in her usually tousled do, with her tresses tumbling down around her shoulders, while her make-up was stripped back and understated.

And further drawing attention to her lithe and limber legs, the L.A.-based beauty wore a pair of tan and tobacco block-heeled boots.

With her long dark hair laying arrow-straight, except for a stray wave or two, Frances allowed her tresses to tumble down around her shoulder and frame her striking face.

Opting for a natural alabaster palette of make-up to complement her porcelain skin tone, she looked all the more striking, as she added a flash of colour to her look with deep berry lipstick.

And while Frances certainly made her mark by her mother's side at the event, the main attraction of the evening was a 'conversation' between Dylan and Courtney.

Two's company: Courtney beamed as she cosied up to long-term friend Sadie Frost, who showed off her fantastic figure in a black velvet blazer and fitted trousers

The outing comes after the pair patched up their six-year-long estrangement, which began when Kurt's mother, Wendy, and his sister, Kimberley, were given temporary guardianship of the teen - following a breakdown in her relationship with Courtney.

And while Courtney was prone to reach out to her daughter via social media in grand gestures, as well as through the press in various interviews and stories, the pair's fractious realtionship has only been healed in recent months.

Though the Hole singer wasn't invited to Frances' wedding to Eeries singer, Isaiah Silva, 31, in September, the new beginning seems to have coaxed the mother and daughter back together.
