She jetted in to Australia for the premier of her latest film The Boss with her husband and the film's director by her side. 

And Melissa McCarthy, 45, revealed some funny anecdotes from filming the flick to the hosts of the Project on Tuesday night. 

The funnywoman explained how the crew weren't too happy with her and Ben Falcone, 42, after they found out Peter Dinklage was leaving for another project. '

The funnywoman explained that on his last day: 'The crew were giving Ben and I the stink eye, I'm not kidding I finally had to say " for the record we are not firing Pete! Pete is leaving us!" 

Melissa went on to gush that Pete is: 'Possibly one of the funniest human beings on the planet.'

She went on to explain that the crew had become very fond of the Hollywood star and a group of them even followed him out to his car after his last day on set. 

'They were saying things like, "it's not going to be the same without you" and we were like "we're right here!' she hilariously told the hosts who were in a fit of laughter. 

And she added: 'We were all crushed when he left.'

The Boss star wore an eye-catching burnt orange frock that featured an interesting floral print for her television appearance.

She and husband Ben are in Australia currently for the promotional tour of their latest film together, The Boss which she stars in and he directed.

On Monday night the pair attended the film's premier in Sydney and shared their secret to a happy marriage on the red carpet.

She sported a stylish floral print jumpsuit on the night and went on to say that having the same goals as one another also helped with their relationship.

'We have always been lucky that we have worked together for so long but we see the same thing and we have had the same goals,' the Spy star explained.  

Ben agreed, saying that the pair share a mutual love and respect for one another and always make sure to give each other space.
