'Went on a hike and this happened!' Hilary Swank announces engagement to former tennis pro beau Ruben Torres
Hilary Swank took to Instagram Tuesday to announce she's getting married.
The excited Oscar winner, 41, shared a selfie of herself with former tennis pro Ruben Torres and showed off a huge emerald and diamond engagement ring.
'Went on a hike and this happened!' she wrote. 'I am so happy to announce the engagement to my dear Ruben.'

The pair were photographed just this past Saturday cozying up to each other and putting on a loved up display at an event in Indian Wells, California.
Ruben, who is from Colombia, played tennis at University of Southern California before going pro.
Now retired from the sport, he is a coach and and also works as a financial adviser for UBS in Los Angeles.
The couple have been dating since July last year.

It will be the second marriage for The Boys Don't Cry and Million Dollar Baby Oscar winner.
She was previously married to actor Chad Lowe from 1997 to 2007.
When she won her first Best Actress Academy Award in 2000 for Boys Don't Cry, she famously forgot to thank her husband in her acceptance speech.

When she won again in 2005, she did remember to thank him, but in 2006 they separated and their divorce was finalized on November 1, 2007.
Hilary went on to date her agent John Campisi and they were together for six years until parting in 2012.
Last summer she announced she'd be taking a break from work in order to focus on caring for her ailing father after he underwent a lung transplant.
But she's started to take on new projects again having signed on to star with Ed Harris in the Starz series The One Percent, as well as providing one of the voices for the upcoming animated feature Spark.
