That's one Ellie of a change! Goulding looks dramatically different as she sports wild curly hair in pouty selfie

She's usually instantly recognisable, thanks to her striking features and trademark straight blonde locks.

But Ellie Goulding looked a world away from her usual self in a rather sultry Twitter snap shared on her timeline on Wednesday.

The 29-year-old pouted in the striking selfie, her hair teased into extravagant and bodacious tight curls, the change in her appearance dramatic and with a distinct 1970s disco diva vibe.

However, her gorgeous face was still the same, her famously full lips pouting, painted a pretty shade of pink.

The rest of the Burn hitmaker's aesthetic was rather glamorous, her eyes heavily painted in a silky bronze shadow and her defined cheekbones appeared contoured.

Wearing a cosy, fluffy white robe in the shot, Ellie appeared to be getting ready for either filming or a photo shoot.

But the canny singer offered up no explanation for her new look - which could have been down to a realistic wig - writing nothing along with her picture post and leaving her 6.17m Twitter followers in the dark.

Meanwhile, the previous evening Ellie looked her normal self as she attended the special screening of Racing Extinction at the Natural History Museum in London.

She cut a casual figure as she put on a leggy display, showing off her enviably toned legs in a thigh-skimming LBD layered under a fringed jacket.

She was one of several famous faces at the screening of the documentary, which focuses on the plight of several species on earth going extinct and the fight to stop it from happening, ahead of its DVD release on Monday: guests were also able to enjoy a private viewing of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Exhibition.

Ellie has been busy of late - on Thursday and Friday, she'll wrap the UK leg of her Delirum World Tour with her final performances at the London O2 Arena.

From there, she'll take a few days off before heading to Canada and America, where she'll perform several dates a week across the expansive States.

The popular tour continues throughout the year, and will end in Australia in mid-October.

And it was also revealed on Wednesday that Ellie is set to play in Chicago for the 25th anniversary of the Lollapalooza music fetival in late July.

She'll appear at the popular music event with the likes of Lana Del Rey, Radiohead, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and LCD Soundsystem.
