Goodbye blue skies! Julianne Hough swaps her bikini for a cosy coat as she heads to meeting in chilly NYC after Mexican getaway

A week ago she was soaking up the sun in a teeny bikini during a family holiday in Mexico.

But it was quite a different story for Julianne Hough on Tuesday, as she bundled up against the brisk weather in New York City after returning from her getaway.

The 27-year-old looked cosy but stylish in a soft cream coat which she wore buttoned up over a white lace top and skinny jeans which highlighted her dancer's legs.

Julianne also sported a pair of black heeled T-strap sandals with bows on, and pulled her blonde locks into a messy ponytail.

The dancer and actress finished off her look with a black leather handbag slung over one shoulder and a pair of aviator sunglasses over her minimally made up face.

Julianne was spotted stepping out of her car and heading into a business meeting.

The Grease: Live star is in the Big Apple after jetting into Los Angeles last Thursday following her trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Julianne was joined on the sunshine holiday by her mother Marianne and sisters Sharee, Marabeth, and Katherine. 

The rising star was enjoying some time off after leaving her judging post on Dancing With The Stars ahead of its 22nd season, which kicked off on Monday.

Julianne started out her career as one of the professional dancers on the show, along with her brother Derek, who also decided he would not return for this season.

She first dipped her toes into the acting pool with roles in Burlesque, Footloose and Rock Of Ages, before landing the lead in 2013's Safe Haven.

Julianne recently appeared opposite Robert De Niro and Zac Efron in Dirty Grandpa, and in January she played Sandy in the hugely popular Grease: Live, which also starred Vanessa Hudgens.

The star is currently promoting her new line of workout wear in collaboration with MPG Sport and Lord And Taylor.

And while she has plenty of work to keep her busy, she is also planning a wedding with fiance Brooks Laich.

Julianne Hough looked like she was in her element as she busted some moves on a yacht during a girls' getaway in Mexico.

Julianne started dating the hockey in December 2013 and they announced their engagement in August of last year.

However it seems the happy couple are in no rush to head down the aisle, and they are yet to set a wedding date. 

Speaking to People magazine in January, Julianne - who is the youngest in a Mormon family - said: 'In Mormon culture, three months is a long time to be engaged. But we plan on being together forever, so we have time.'
