No satisfaction! Keith Richards lists New York City apartment for $12.23million just two years after buying the penthouse

Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards and his wife Patti Hansen are selling their New York City apartment, just two years after purchasing the home.

Sotheby's is listing the two-story penthouse in Greenwich Village for $12.23million, meaning the couple is set to make a pretty penny after snapping up the apartment for just $10.5million, according to property website StreetEasy.

The four-bedroom, four-bathroom abode features dark wood floors contrasted by a stark white design throughout the apartment. 

The apartment underwent a remodel in 2011, combining three apartments into one 2,700-square-foot unit that offers sweeping views of the city from three separate terraces.

Richards' apartment is located in the historic One Fifth Avenue building just north of Washington Square Park. 

The building was originally built in 1929 as a luxury hotel  and is described in the listing as one of the 'most prestigious and sought after cooperatives'.
