Alexandra Daddario displays her flat stomach as she strips off while filming Baywatch reboot with Zac Efron

She's been cast as Summer Quinn in the Baywatch reboot.

And Alexandra Daddario was spotted getting into the swing of things on set in Savannah, Georgia on Tuesday alongside her handsome co-star Zac Efron.

The 30-year-old actress - best known for her role in the Percy Jackson film series - was joking around with a red float as she filmed scenes al fresco for the big screen adaptation of the 90s TV show with the High School Musical hunk.

Alexandra was seen swinging the floating device while joking around with Zac in between takes, who looked very animated as he chatted to his cast mate.

The brunette was clad in a beach babe look comprising tie dye T-shirt and a pair of bootcut jeans with rips on the knee, set off with a pair of beige gladiator sandals. 

Whipping off her top, Alexandra revealed her perfectly flat stomach and toned figure in a grey sports bra.

Zac, who is playing Matt Brody in the new adaptation, looked laid back in a bright pink T-shirt, jeans and Converse, wearing his hair slicked back with gel.

The Baywatch remake boasts an all-star cast including Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Priyanka Chopra.

The Rock and Alexandra co-starred in last summer's San Andreas, which proved to be blockbuster gold, and he was the first to announce she would be appearing in the Baywatch film.

Alexandra Daddario is caught on set filming for the new Baywatch and her character seems to be throwing a tantrum in a pair of distressed boyfriend jeans.

The former professional wrestler wrote on Instagram: 'IT'S OFFICIAL: Want to welcome the talented and gorgeous @alexannadaddario to the cast of #BAYWATCH for the role of "Summer". Alex is a one of kind woman (I know from experience) and can't wait for you guys to see her own the role.'

The role of Summer Quinn was made famous by actress Nicole Eggert, who played the character on television from 1992 to 1994.

A Baywatch movie has been in the making as far back as 2012 with Paramount only announcing it was officially moving forward in October last year.

Plot details are thin so far, but all reports indicate the film will be a comedy, and it is strongly expected to once again be set on the beaches of California.

Early reports claim the film centres aroound 'a hotshot former Olympian butts heads with the leader of an elite team of lifeguards.

However Comicbook.com previously claimed the plot will revolve around Efron’s rebellious character teaming up with Johnson’s straight-laced lifeguard in order to save their beach from an evil oil tycoon.

Seth Gorden, who was behind Horrible Bosses and Identity Theft is set to direct the film, which Johnson also claims will be R-rated.

The new Baywatch film is set for release on May 19, 2017.
