Goldie Hawn and Jane Fonda kicked ageism to the curb as they attended the UCLA Institute Of The Environment And Sustainability Celebrates The Champions Of Our Planet's Future in Los Angeles on Thursday.

The Private Benjamin star, 70, was just as bubbly and youthful as ever as she joined the 78-year-old actress, activist and fitness guru at the annual gala held at a private residence.

Goldie, who served on the host committee, wore a becoming black dress with low V neckline and short sleeves, and a glittery detailed design in front.

The actress wore her famous golden locks softly curled with long bangs trailing across her brows.

Goldie added height to her 5 ft 6 in frame with a pair of black peep-toe heels, and there was a dazzling pendant necklace draped around her throat.

Jane didn't disappoint either in the fashion department, opting for a classic black pantsuit with a silvery embroidered blazer.

The organisation stressed their mission on its website: 'We face unprecedented stresses on food, water and energy systems. Fresh ideas, breakthrough technologies and heightened public engagement are urgently needed....'

It concluded: 'Not only do we conduct some of the world’s most impactful environmental research, we put it in the hands of decision makers to drive much needed change.'

While Courteney went with a contemporary-style black dress with an above-the-knee hem to show off her toned legs, Rosario bedazzled in a uniquely patterned number with center cut-out.

Rosario flashed her taut stomach as she posed hand on hip on the red carpet, her coral-pink pumps attracting the gaze.

Jane, meanwhile, has said that aging gracefully takes - time.

'I'm honored to be called beautiful. I don't consider myself beautiful,' Jane told People. 'Owning who you are, being good in your skin… It takes a long time to get there. It took me over 60 years.'

And Goldie recently celebrated her milestone 70th birthday during an oceanside holiday with her family including daughter Kate Hudson, sons Wyatt and Oliver, stepson Boston and her longtime partner Kurt Russell.
