Breezy does it! Dakota Fanning looks chilly as she steps out in bizarre cut-off jeans in New York

Dakota Fanning showed off her individual fashion flair as she stepped out in New York on Wednesday.

The 22-year-old actress looked a little chilly as she walked with her arms crossed under a chic pastel coat. 

It can't have helped that the I Am Sam star was wearing bootleg jeans which stopped high above her bare ankles with the hems sliced off.

Dakota accessorized with a pink Chanel bag and shaded her eyes with retro style round sunglasses.

She wore her blonde locks scraped back into a bun. 

Earlier this month the Georgia-born beauty joined Instagram.

And she delighted fans with a picture of her cute pup Lewellen perched on a floral-print chair on Wednesday in honour of National Puppy Day.

Dakota Fanning may be just 22-years-old, but her sartorial sense goes well beyond her years. She never goes amiss with her fashion choices and this time was no different when the actress was spotted in NYC in a white Storets sweater, a pair of Mother jeans and some adidas sneakers.

Adding a bit of color to her neutral tones, Dakota went with a pink quilted Chanel bag and a pastel hued trench coat. She accessorized with a pair of round sunnies.

She is the older sister of 17-year-old actress Elle Fanning.
