Diane Kruger and Norman Reedus are seen falling for each other in the trailer for their new movie Sky.
The German actress plays Romy, a French woman who kills her abusive husband and then goes on the run across the American West.
On her journey, she meets a range of small town characters, before finding love with Norman's gruff cowboy Diego - until her dark past comes back to haunt her new life.

Diane's real-life partner Joshua Jackson also appears in the film, playing a sympathetic small town cop.
Diane, 39, and Walking Dead star Norman, 47, are seen flirting, kissing and having tearful conversations in the dramatic trailer.
The tagline promises: 'Beautifully capturing the landscapes and soul of the Southwest, Sky is a stirring emotional odyssey about what it means to start your life over again.'
The trailer begins with Romy killing her lecherous husband after he tries to rape her in a hotel room.

In a rage: Her character Romy kills her husband in a hotel room after he tries to rape her, then goes on the run across the West
'She's in a bad mood,' her husband, played by Gilles Lellouche, is heard telling a waitress.
'We thought that a vacation could fix our couple. But it couldn't.'
Later, Romy removes her bra as her husband watches through a crack in the bathroom door.
When he tries to rape her, she jumps out of bed and fights back, smashing his head in with a bedside lamp.
'I killed my husband in a hotel, and then I left him,' she then confesses.

'You didn't strike me as a killer,' Joshua is heard replying.
Romy then embarks on a journey across the desert, catching a ride with a truck driver and finally connecting with The Walking Dead star, who plays independent cowboy Diego.
'How about a drink in a bar?' he offers, adding: 'What's a nice girl like you doing here all alone?'
'I really have no clue,' she answers.

New life: Romy flashes a big smile as she tells him 'I just want to be free'
Embrace: She then throws herself into his arms with a passionate kiss
The pair are then seen falling in love, before her dark past comes between them and threatens their new romance.
'I don't know where I'm going, I want to be free.. I love you,' Diane's character exclaims as she throws her arms around her new love and kisses him passionately.
He is also seen wiping away tears when the truth comes out.
'I thought you didn't want to hear about love anymore,' he says, adding: 'You lied to me, I didn't lie to you.'

A woman then warns Romy: 'You can't change what happened, it's all meant to be. That's why we gave you the name Sky, because the sky is always changing.'
Lena Dunham also has a role in the indie movie, playing Norman's pregnant sister-in-law.
The French-German production is directed by Fabienne Berthaud and will be released in theaters and on demand on April 15.
