And on Thursday Diane Kruger fit right in as she plugged into her iPhone and drowned out the blare of the city streets with some earbuds.

The 39-year-old star, who originally hails from Germany, opted to wear little to no make-up as she strolled the busy urban landscape.

The blonde actress wrapped a hankerchief around her neck as she donned some dungarees for her outing.

Rocking quirky platform wingtips, Kruger completed her attired with tortoise shell sunglasses and a camel hair coat.

Meanwhile, the star recently revealed she's reached a very important milestone in her life, finally deciding to settle down and set up a new home for herself in New York City.

Speaking to The EDIT the actress revealed her big move - which will allow her to be closer to boyfriend of 10 years, Joshua Jackson - has been a 'major commitment' for her.

Speaking about her move to the Big Apple, she said it was a 'big step' for her to allow herself to be around her 37-year-old boyfriend so often.

'I just moved [to New York] this week,' she explained. 'I need to unpack and buy some house stuff, like candles and books… [Moving here] was a major commitment.

'That’s a big step into adulthood for me, to allow that time for someone else out of my time.'

Diane admitted that the next step in her life might be the possibility of marriage.
