He's the billionaire businessman known for travelling the world. 

And James Packer lived up to his globetrotting reputation this week, jetting into New York City shortly after being spotted at his fiancée Mariah Carey's concert in London, UK.

The 48-year-old stepped out in the Big Apple on Thursday afternoon - after cheering on Mariah from the crowd at her packed 02 Arena gig on Wednesday night.

The son of late media mogul Kerry Packer bundled up against the chilly New York weather in a pair of denim jeans and a half-zip pullover.

James, who stands at a lofty 6ft 6in, rounded off his casual look with a navy blue jacket as he arrived at the Greenwich Hotel in Manhattan.

It is likely James made a quick exit after Mariah's sold-out concert before flying directly to the States - as he did not appear to accompany her to the after party at NY-LON Lounge Bar in Canary Wharf.
