The 28-year-old told E! of his decision to propose: 'I've had the ring for two years and have been waiting for the perfect moment.'

The dancer certainly made the occasion memorable - getting friends to set up 200 candles and roses on the beach in Malibu.

The couple's family members flew in to watch as Wall asked Palange to be his husband.

'This special moment was worth the wait and now I get to spend the rest of my life with this incredible man,' Wall said.

Wall found fame when he competed on the second season of SYTYCD.

Despite coming runner up, the then 18-year-old was invited to join the show as a choreographer.

He has won an Emmy for his work on the show, and also starred in a 2012 Oxygen reality show, All The Right Moves, about his attempts to start a dance studio.
