And the actress certainly dressed for the part on Friday when she dashed about NYC in a sophisticated blazer and focused look on her face.

Jennifer, 25, softened the look with a sexy silk cami top underneath, leaving her central hotel once again for more meetings.

The platinum blonde maintained a stern expression behind retro shades and swung her arms with conviction as she paced out of the hotel.

Naturally, she garnered plenty of attention with her high profile image but her hefty entourage helped her to pace it to a cab without unnecessary disturbance from overzealous fans.

Jennifer walked elegantly in shoe boots that helped elongate her legs in skinny jeans and perfectly showcase her trim figure.

Jennifer has been business-focused this week as she promotes the DVD release of The Hunger Games - Mockingjay - Part 2.

Reprising her role as Raven Darkhölme/Mystique, Jennifer is also anticipating the release of X Men:Apocalypse.

Jennifer narrowly missed out on an Oscar last month for her role in the comedy Joy, when Brie Larsson took the win for Room.

But Joy director David O. Russell has been quick to praise the actress' professionalism, saying in an interview recently how well she has evolved in the industry.

The Joy director recalls the time the actress cut her hair after Silver Linings, calling it 'sort of a big moment' in her career because dying and cutting for her Box Office roles had left it damaged.

'There was kind of a Joan of Arc thing going on,' he continued. 'Where I witnessed her taking ownership of herself, and that's why I wanted to put that hair cutting in the movie.'
