Gary's girl: Danielle Lienker loves developing properties

Lingerie model Danielle Lineker has more than one string to her bow.

As well as making her acting debut in Calendar Girls last month, the 31-year-old – married to TV presenter Gary Lineker, 50 – has revealed a love for property developing.

‘I used to buy old wrecks and do them up before I met Gary,’ says Danielle, who is renovating their new house in Barnes, West London, after selling their £2.6 million home in Surrey.

‘The issue Gary has is that I want to move every two years. Once I’ve done a job I want to move on to the next challenge,’ she says.

Former S Club 7 singer Jon Lee is renting a flat in Woking, Surrey, with a view to buying a property in the area.

‘I did panto here in 2009 and really liked it. If the market picks up, I plan to buy,’ he says.

Since the pop group split in 2003, Jon, 28, has carved out a career for himself in musicals and will join the cast of West End hit Jersey Boys next month.

He invested his earnings from his pop career in property and owns four flats – two in Bromley and one in Beckenham, both in Kent, and one in Croydon – which he lets out.

Her album Mayhem may be in the Top 10, but singer Imelda May, 36, has yet to get her foot on the property ladder.

Now Imelda plans to buy a house this year with her musician husband Darrel Higham, 41.

‘Everything is going so well. We have been saving for a house. I want something gorgeous with a big garden,’ she says.

PS Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish has been given the go-ahead for his house extension in Southport. Dalglish, 59, and wife Marina will extend their £2 million Birkdale home to create a bigger kitchen and two extra bedrooms.

One neighbour described the extension as ‘overbearing and oppressive’.

Maybe he’s an Everton fan . . .
