She's next set to travel to Connecticut as she continues the American leg of her Anti World Tour.

And Rihanna was enjoying a quick pit stop in New York City ahead of her Hartford concert date, rocking a laid-back look as she stopped off at her apartment in the Big Apple on Friday.

The 28-year-old star was the picture of cool in nothing but an oversized black jumper, showing off her shapely legs in the thigh-skimming top.

Putting her best foot forward: Rihanna put on a leggy display as she strolled along the streets of New York City on Friday, relishing in a brief pit-stop in the middle of her Anti World Tour

Rihanna completed her bare-legged look with a pair of Puma flip flops from her own range, pairing the casual footwear with a pair of stripy socks.

The Work hitmaker was carrying a silver handbag in one hand and set off her look with a pair of teal-rimmed sunglasses.

The singer was wearing her hair down loose and showed off her natural beauty by going make-up free.

She loves her laid back looks as much as her high fashion glamour, and Rihanna's off duty style is a mix of sporty separates worn in a luxe way. And as the brand ambassador for Puma it's no surprise that she's ofte found clad in their sportswear.

For 2016 however, Rihanna has gone one step further and designed her own range for the label. The Fenty x Puma collection is set to launch later in the year but Rihanna's already keeping us interested by debuting some of the pieces ahead of time. She stepped out in New York following a gig in a casual ensemble rocking an oversized hooded jumper dress from her forthcoming collection along with a pair of Puma fur slides which are a favorite footwear choice of the stars.

Meanwhile, Rihanna got a surprise when she picked out a talented vocalist in the crowd to join her for a duet.

The star was signing her track FourFiveSeconds when she extended her microphone out to Terah Stewart in the front row during her show at the US Bank Arena in Cincinnati.

Stewart held nothing back as he stunned both the crowd and the Kiss It Better artist with his killer vocals during the impromptu sing-a-long,Cincinnati.com reported.

After the concertgoer sings, the audience erupts into a loud cheer and Rihanna is heard saying 'woah' as she looks on with a shocked face.

Moments later, Rihanna continues singing and pauses to say 'oh s***' seemingly wowed by Stewart's incredible vocals.

Stewart, who is the Assistant Director of Intercultural Programming at Ohio State University, later recounted the moment on Twitter, writing of his excitement of singing with the star.

Rihanna released her latest album Anti earlier this year and last weekend, Billboard reported it had moved back to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, collecting its second week at the top.
