There's a reason Amy Adams has been nominated five times for an Academy Award.

The pretty flame-haired actress showed off her acting chops during a visit to The Tonight Show on Friday by making herself cry on command.

The 41-year-old started talking about her love of Sriracha and how there was a move to shut down the factory that makes it, and tears welled up in her eyes.

The American Hustle and the Fighter star got emotional, placing a hand to her brow, shaking her head in disbelief and sniffling.

'That's the best performance on The Tonight Show ever,' host Jimmy Fallon said as he stood up and applauded his guest.

Jimmy had challenged Amy to make herself cry as they talked about how her five-year-old daughter Avi thinks it's funny that her mommy's job involves her making herself feel different things.

The actress was on the late night talk show to promote Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice in which she reprises her role as Lois Lane opposite Henry Cavill.

She first played Superman's girlfriend in director Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel. 

Amy was simply chic in a long-sleeved dark blue dress for her Tonight Show guest spot and wore wore her long glossy red locks down in loose ringlets .

It wasn't just all talk and acting tricks on the show, as the leading lady also partook in some fun and games with the late night talk show.

She took part in Jimmy's new game Box Of Microphones, in which they each sang a song while the sound booth change dup the sound of their voice.

After performing Rihanna's Work, she joined the comedian in a duet of The One That I Want from Grease.
