They are normally pictured enjoying the festive season with loved ones and family members.

But this year Hollywood actor Chris Hemsworth and wife Elsa Pataky ditched their annual traditional and enjoyed Easter with their three toddler children alone at their Byron Bay residency.

On Monday Elsa took to Instagram to show off her festive spirit as she shared an image of herself and her twin sons - Tristan and Sasha - huddling around a large-sized chocolate egg following an egg hunt.

Everyone spends Easter in a different way and for Elsa Pataky and Chris Hemsworth they decided to keep their celebrations close to home, sharing the weekend with only their three children in Byron Bay.

On Easter Sunday, Elsa helped the kids on their Easter Egg hunt and rocked a casually cool look for the occasion. With just her family around for company, Elsa looked comfortable without make up and her hair pulled back into a casual do, all topped off with a pretty daytime maxi dress.

The star rocked the piece by Spell with its cool bohemian vibe in a red hue and folky floral print and she looked simply stunning.

A maxi dress will always give off a summery feel and the great thing about them is they're perfect for the day or the evening with a pair of pretty sandals.

In the image the model looked flawless as she donned a red floral dress which loosely fell over her slender figure to the floor.

She had tied her dyed blonde locks back into a rough bun while showing off her natural beauty through minimal make-up.

In the shot Elsa cradled her son around her waist while holding the other's hand as Chris held onto their only daughter tightly as they enjoyed a day out at the Byron Bay Blues Festival on the New South Wales north coast.

During the family day out Chris showed off her muscular biceps as he dressed in a fitted dark grey T-shirt and black knee-length shorts.

As usual, Elsa stunned in a red floral off-the-shoulder garment while she accessorised with a tanned cowboy-styled hat and matching coloured boots.

'Together everything is better! #bluesfest #family #dancing #love #kids #music,' the blonde beauty wrote alongside the family portrait.

On Friday night the Spanish stunner and the Australian hunk enjoyed a date night at the 27th annual Blues Festival.

Taking to Instagram to mark the occasion, the picture-perfect couple couldn't wipe the smiles off their faces as they beamed at the camera ahead of the Cold War Kids performance at the four-day music event.

Elsa was seen leaning against her muscular husband in a black playsuit, which boasted sheer sleeves with intricate embroidery and a peek-a-boo cut across the front. 

Meanwhile, the Thor star cut a causal figure in a black T-shirt, shorts and a baseball cap.  

The 39-year-old simply captioned the post: 'Byron /Enjoying [sic].'

She also added a number of hash-tags to the sweet snap: 'blues fest en Byron', 'cold war kids', 'music', 'love', 'partners night' and 'yayyyyy [sic]'. 

In the spirit of doing things by twos, Elsa captioned the picture firstly in her native Spanish tongue

The famous couple wed in 2010 and now live in Byron Bay with their three children.
