SPOILER ALERT: Catherine Tyldesley leads the mourners as she joins Ryan Thomas to film Coronation Street funeral scenes for love rat character Tony Stewart

Tony Stewart left the cobbles in a disgrace last November.

And the roguish builder is set to be laid to rest in an upcoming episode of Coronation Street, with his former neighbours including Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) and his son Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas) gathering to pay their respects.

The villainous character has met a sticky end off-screen, so actor Terence Maynard won't be returning to the ITV soap to film the emotional farewell scenes.

The blonde beauty was seen adjusting her skirt as she walked along with her co-stars including Bruno Langley, who plays Jason's half-brother Todd Grimshaw.

Ryan was looking dapper in a black suit and blue shirt for filming, in what will no doubt be dramatic scenes for his character.

Elsewhere, Corrie filming was taking place in Blackpool as Sally Anne Matthews - who plays Jenny Bradley - and her new love interest Richard Hawley, who plays Johnny Connor.
