Late night, Saoirse? Brooklyn star Ronan looks tired as she goes for makeup free stroll in racy biker jacket in New York

She is the Irish beauty renowned for her piercing blue eyes.

But tired looking Saoirse Ronan kept her peepers hidden behind an oversized pair of sunglasses as she went for a walk in overcast New York on Monday.

Indeed the sexy 21-year-old even let out a yawn as she chatted on her mobile as she wandered around the trendy Soho neighbourhood of the Big Apple.

American born Saoirse, 21, looked in fine form indeed in a leather biker jacket, comfy-looking casual patterned trousers and brown shoes.

And the double Oscar nominee made the brave decision to go makeup free as she pranced around in the bustling city.

Saucy starlet Saoirse is portraying Abigail Williams in a Broadway revival of the 1953 play The Crucible by Arthur Miller. The began a limited 20-week engagement last Thursday.

Abigail historically was one of the initial accusers in the Salem witch trials of 1692.

The play was written as an allegory of McCarthyism in the 1950s.

The Crucible won the 1953 Tony Award for Best Play and is widely considered an American drama classic.

Not only that, but it was turned into a film in 1996, which starred Daniel Day Lewis, Winona Ryder and Paul Scofield. It scored two Oscar nominations, but much like Saoirse, won neither.

For those eager to see the blonde bombshell back on the silver screen, later this year she appears in The Seagull based on the Anton Chekhov play of the same name and the fully painted animated feature Loving Vincent about the life of painter Vince Van Gogh.
