'We eat sugar like crazy!' Ashton Kutcher talks healthier approach to daughter's Easter... but admits he and wife Mila Kunis can't get enough of sweets

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are saving the sweets for themselves.

The 38-year-old Punk'd star appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday night as he talked about he and his wife's healthier approach to Easter eggs for their daughter Wyatt.

However, Ashton and the 32-year-old actress are no health nuts themselves as he admitted that they love to eat sugar but keep it away from their one-and-a-half-year-old.

Dynamic duo: The 38-year-old actor was joined by wife Mila Kunis while heading to the appearance as he talked about how they chose healthier options for their daughter's Easter egg snacks

As they put together a little Easter egg hunt for their bundle of joy, they made sure to fill the plastic eggs with something a bit more nutritious than candy.

He explained: 'We didn't want to put candy in it because she's 1-and-a-half and she's not quite ready—we're not quite ready for her to be ready for candy, so we did Cheerios and raisins.'

'She loved the raisins! She was going ape for the raisins.'

Healthy alternative: He told the 48-year-old host that they did not want to give his one-and-a-half-year-old candy and instead 'did Cheerios and raisins' for the plastic eggs

'We eat sugar like crazy!': When queried if they stay away from sweets, Ashton insisted that the couple indulge in sugary snacks but just keep it away from their kid

Aww: He also shared a humourous story about having to keep his sugary ceral away from Wyatt

Ashton was then queried by the 48-year-old if they just don't keep sweets in the house to which the That '70s Show star replied: 'We eat sugar like crazy!

 'It's there. We just don't give it to [Wyatt]. I'm not ready for that. I'm not ready for that. I was eating Cinnamon Toast Crunch this morning and she was trying to hijack my Cinnamon Toast Crunch!'

The former male model delved a little deeper into parenting as he admitted he and Mila had debated what mythical holiday creatures are worth explaining to young Wyatt.

Deep thoughts: Ashton also said he and his beautiful wife have debated whether or not they are going to explain the Easter Bunny or Santa Claus to their child

'It's all really confusing': The Punk'd star said the decision was not as easy as most would think as their daughter would have several questions

He said: 'We had a legitimate conversation as to whether or not we're going to go down that path. Like we think we're going Santa Claus but we don't know about the bunny.

'It's up in the air. It's tough because it's like, "Why is a bunny laying eggs? Mommy, does a bunny lay eggs?" "No, but the Easter bunny does."'

Then he came up with even more hypothetical questions he daughter could ask in the future as Ashton said:  '"And then why are there Peep chicken things? What are those and what does that have to do with Jesus coming back from the dead? Did that really happen?" It's all really confusing!'

No doubt the A-list couple are very supportive of one another as Mila was spotted arriving at the studio in Hollywood alongside Ashton that day.

He was on the late night chat programme to promote his upcoming Netflix comedy The Ranch which he stars in with fellow That '70s Show star Danny Masterson.

Ashton plays a failed semi-pro footballer who returns home after 15 years to help his father (played by Sam Elliot) and brother (Masterson) run the family ranch in Colorado.

The first ten episodes will be available to stream on Netflix on April 1.
